 The USS Intrepid, also know as "The Fighting I”, has seen many battles, including the World War II, Cold War and the Vietnam War. It survived five *kamikaze* attacks and 1 torpedo strike. Post it’s service in the War, the ship served as a recovery vessel for the US Navy and played many roles before it berthed itself on the Hudson and became the centerpiece of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. On this guided tour, you will get the chance to learn about the history of the ship from 1943-74 and beyond. Explore the ship’s forecastle and the hangar deck where aircrafts were stored and maintained.
