 From 'stroopwafel' to mozzarella to knishes, there is a lot of amazing eats on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and on this tour, you will discover some of the best places to experience the culinary offerings of the region. This walking tour is an enriching experience as it takes you down history's lanes and combines the experience with a series of small food sampling, or “noshing” stops from local shops and markets. The tour focuses mainly on the history of the multi-ethnic Lower East Side as you learn more about the Jewish East Side, Little Italy and Chinatown. During the course of our walk, you will sample about 10 different items, representing the Dominican, Jewish, Italian & Chinese communities of the Lower East Side.
